Peacock Wanna-Be

 I was really hoping that the look above would have resembled a peacock. I used Tres Risk in the Dark Green for the base color. After it dried completely i used BM plate in 212. I used China Glaze in Cherish to apply the stamp. This is one of my most favorite polishes to stamp with when I am using green as a base color. I used China Glaze in ??? I forgot the name of it to apply purple dots in the little circle inside the bigger circles. It did resemble a peacock if you happen to have forget your glasses or contact lenses and you were looking at it from far away.LOL.

This is what I painted my nails with tonight. I used Nail Tek Intensive care for soft and peeling nail. I love this stuff. I bought it a while ago at Ross. It came with a quick dry polish as well,but I did not like it so much. It did not dry quick enough for me. I was having alot of problems with my nails peeling so I started using this as my base coat and it has helped tremendously. I have also started taking vitamins as well so that can also be what has been helping. I then applied  two coats of Orly Velvet Rope. It's an okay color not one of my favorites but i just had to pick something out quickly.To finish, I used Diamond Dry. This was a free gift from Sally's Beauty Supply. I really can not recommend this because it seems to make your nail polish peel off quickly. I used it anyways because tomorrow I have to clean my house and I don't intend to keep this color on any longer than tomorrow. I hope!

Oh My Gosh.......................................it's so hot today!!! I woke up this morning and read an article and started feeling really bad for the birds and other living creatures. It has not rained in a long time! It did rain a few weeks ago but unfortunately not enough. We have had this bird bath in our garage for a while now. When my husband got home, I told him that we needed to set it up. Even though I said we, I actually meant him and Alex. I took pictures in order to capture the memory:) Alex did such a good job assembling it. He's such a good helper!! We set it under our tree which gives us a perfect view. We also put a few seeds in a Terra cotta planter. Hopefully the birds or other winged creatures will be able to cool off. So how's the weather in your part of town??

It's Friday!!

I really have not been posting as much lately. I guess I just feel a little lazy. I'll tell you how my week went. My boy is now a yellow stripe in Taekwondo. Frank and I are so proud of him. I get teary eyed everytime I see him practice. I feel like cheering for him and yelling "Thats My Boy" but unfortunatlly they do not allow that. He is so amazing.

I am also doing more polymer clay stuff. I guess thats why my blogging has been placed in the back burner. I cant say its relaxing but it is fun and I love seeing the end product. I really enjoy it.

This manicure has been on my nails for almost the whole week. I purchased this Sally Hansen HD polish in DVD at Target about a week ago. I like the way it look when I use it alone. But I really love the way it looks when I sponge it on top of black nail polish. It looks amazing. These pictures do no justice for it.

I hope to get back on track with my blog, we'll see:)

 Wow, I can't believe how fast another year has passed. Today I spent it with the ones that matter the most. Frank and Alex made me a delicious birthday cake. I thought they forgot that I asked them to make me one last week. I was so happy when they asked if they could still bake it for me this morning. I'm a simple kind of girl. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Frank asked me where I wanted to go for breakfast, honestly I just wanted some frosted flakes and toast. He went to work for a few hours so me and Alex headed out to Hobby Lobby and Target. A YouTube friend of mine, ShaySpeaks, told me about Target having beauty products on sale. I picked up 2 Sally Hansen polishes,1 Loreal lip gloss, 1 toothpaste, and an activity book for $10.00. I posted a video on my channel if you want to check it out. For dinner, we went to Chili's. My sister in law came over with these beautiful roses and enjoyed cake with us. As I am writing this post, its still 20 minutes until the day is over. There is one person who has not called me or text me or emailed me. I am hoping she does. If she doesn't, I think I will be OK but kind of sad. I thank God for these 34 years He has blessed me with and praying to have many more so I can see my future grand babies.

This is the video I posted today on my YouTube channel. I have had this mascara for about a week. I bought it because I had a coupon for $1.00 plus another $4.00 of with CVS ECB's for that mascara. I usually don't buy mascaras with such thick wands. I always get it all over my eyelids. Today I decided to take my time to apply it. I never thought my eyelashes could look this pretty. I applied 2 coats. I am very pleased with my purchase. I'm not sure if this comes in waterproof but it is opthomalogical ( I'm pretty sure I misspelled that word!!) tested. I will definitely purchase this again.

Just Clayin' Around

 Lately I have been looking at YouTube video of charm making using polymer clay. Some of my favorites are SoCraftastic,PaperPastels,GentlemanBunny. SoCraftastic's channel is the one who really got me curious though. I just love her creativity and her detailed tutorials. So I ordered this book called The Incredible Book of Clay. The book cost about $20.00. Today was a rainy day and my husband stayed home from work. Alex and him hung around together so I finally had the chance to use the clay. This was my first time using clay. It gives your hand quite a workout.I decided to make a Hello Kitty key chain. After I finished making and baking it, I did not realize how much of my mistakes would show up. Their was alot of lint visible and little marks that I did not smooth out. After they cooled off, I applied a thin coat of glitter nail polish. After that dried, I applied a thin coat of ModPodge to give it a little shine.I know Sculpy has a gloss that you can apply, but that was all I had on hand. I may purchase it, because I have a 40% off coupon from Hobby Lobby. I really like the results. I will definitely keep practicing.

Last night I was able to do this pattern on my nails using Bundle Monster Plate 221. I applied a beige color as my base coat then sponged Jaguar by Pure Ice over it in little splotches. I used the Konad Speciall color in black to stamp on the image. After that dried, I used a dotting tool to color in some dark brown spots on the stamped image. Last Friday I headed to Sally's Beauty Supply. They sent me a $10.00 off of $20.00 coupon. I really wanted some nail polish. They had a few of the new China Glaze  Crackle Glaze Metal polishes. The only one that I liked was this green one. The name of it is Oxidized Aqua. I eneded up getting 2 China glaze polishes. When you purchased 2 they gave you a free fast dry nail polish. They did not have any more in stock so they gave me a rain check. I also picked up the Orly  Frisky nail polish. It such a pretty color. I applied 2 coats of it. After it dried, I then applied the crackle polish. I applied it going in different directions instead of the usual base to tip application. I applied it going sideways and angled.  It gives each nail a different look. I really like this combination alot.

OPI-Shatter- Dried up:(

The pictures here is now my OPI shatter nail polish looks like now. I was going to put it on a few days ago and saw this. I was so upset. I store all my polishes standing straight. They are not near a window. The polish has dried up completely. I didn't use it very much, so I don't know if that is the reason why it looks like this now. This was a Mothers Day gift from my baby, so it will stay with me forever regardless of what it looks like. Has this happened to any of yall's Shatter polish?

June Favorites

 You can buy this big bottle of Olay at Walmart for about $8.oo. It leaves your skin so soft and clean smelling. It reminds me of Country Chic from Bath and Body Works. This by far is my most favorite lotion ever.

 Last month my face started breaking out really bad. In my twenty's, I used to get really big pimples on my cheek. I had a habit of popping them and they would leave a really dark blemish mark on my face. I was getting really upset that I started to get them again. I was even getting them on my neck:( I was using Clean and Clear Foaming Face wash,but that did not seem to help.  I saw this Garnier face wash on sale at Walgreen's and I also had a coupon. I ended up getting both the cleanser and moisturizer for about $5.oo.  This helped clear out my pimples so fast. I was amazed. I really love the brush head. It feels really good on your face. The bristles are not rough or stiff. It really feels good on your face. It leaves your face feeling clean. One thing I will mention though, is that it does not remove eye makeup very well. It will also leave the brush head a little black if you use it on your eyes. If you use eye makeup remover before you wash your face them you should have no problems. Keep your eye out for sales at CVS or Walgreens and coupons in your Sunday newspaper. I've already got 2 more bottle stocked up.

 This is an excellent moisturizer. I love it because it has sunscreen. It gives your face a nice fresh scent. It's not oily. I will definitely continue to use this product.

 I bought these at Ross for $2.99. For some reason, I thought this was by Garnier also, but it is not.The green packaging really got me! They still work really good. I love the way they smell. They leave your face feeling clean and smooth no matter how much makeup you have. It takes off eye makeup really well too. I also have a few back stocked too. I try to buy one every time I get a chance to go to Ross. If you shop at Ross you know you have to buy what you see because the next time you visit it will not be there any more.

 I bought this Biore face wash because I had a coupon for free blackhead strips and because it was on sale. I bought this about 2 weeks ago. I use this to wash my face in the morning and use the Garnier at night in the shower. This face wash really wakes you up in the morning. Your face feels refreshed and clean and awake. For some reason, when I saw the word "ice" on the bottle, I thought it was going to have little crystals in the cleanser but it does not. Its just a clear cleansing face wash. I will definitely repurchase.

 This is my new straightener. I posted about it a few blogs ago. I love the way it leaves my hair. It really made my hair look board straight and shiny when my hair was longer. My hair is super short now but I still use it to straighten out my hair when I wake in the morning.

I also posted about this in a recent post. This is the Lysol Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner. It comes two in a pack for about $2.47 at Target. I'm constantly cleaning the toilet bowls so I cant say how good it cleans it but it really does deodorize your restroom. Especially around the toilet bowl area. I buy the blue ones. I believe its the Mountain Fresh scent. They last a long time too. I would say about 6 weeks.


So this was my June favorites. I don't normally buy alot  of stuff monthly to make a favorites post every month. I always put myself in the back burner and buy for my son before I buy for myself.
