magnetiX Nail Polish

I was finally able to pick up this magnetiX nail polish from the ICING this past weekend. I have been looking for it for a while now. When I walked into the store, my first reaction was to look where the nail polish and makeup are displayed. I looked and looked and they were not there. I asked the sales lady and she told me that they were at the front register. There was not too many left. They had a bluish color, a purple/pink color and a green/yellow color. She told me that the blue color was really popular. I decided to get the purplish pinkish color and the greenish yellowish colors. I normally would not spend so much money on any nail polish but I had to give it a try. Plus my husband was generous to give me extra money to get what I wanted. Each one was $9.00 but they had a sale going on which was BOGO 50% off. This sale is usually always going on. Application is very easy. You apply one coat, let dry completely. Then apply a second coat generously. The top of the nail polish bottle is where the magnet is located. There are also little ridges to place your finger on that way the polish does not smear. It says to hold magnet on top of nail for 10 seconds but I held it for 20 seconds and kind of moved it around from side to side.Instructions are on the bottle as well. The outcome is so pretty. It really does look like magnetic waves on your nails. When I did my thumb I applied the second coat lightly and when I placed the magnet over it nothing happened. I guess you just have to put a good amount on the nail. Results will vary on each nail but I think it looks awesome.

How do You Swatch Nail Polish?

Before I go any further, I must give credit where credit it due. I first saw this amazing way to swatch nail polishes by watching videos by http://www.youtube.com/user/mrsdoubtfire33. I thought to myself this is so freaking awesome!!!

My husband is the sole provider for our family. I really like buying anything that deals with nail polish. I love the nail art wheel that allows you to display all your nail polish swatches so conveniently on a little wheel. These are great, but can become a little pricey. I've gotten some for as low as $.99 each wheel. Sally's has them for $5.99 for a set of 10 wheels in a package.

Now let me share with you a great alternative. Like I mentioned earlier, I saw this in a YouTube video. See link above. Yes these are spoons.Isn't that awesome!! You can get a whole package of spoon for less than a dollar. And unlike the wheels above, you can actually write the brand and name of each nail polish!!! Right now,I cant even remember the name of the polishes on the wheel except for maybe 3.

You can even use knives, which is the way I prefer because I tend to write big.
Storing them can be easy too.I just grabbed a clean empty jar an placed them in there. You can make the jar look as pretty as you want by adding glass marbles inside the jar and ribbon around the outside.
Right now my a jar looks quite homely. I don't have the marbles yet but have plenty of ribbon. I just have not put any on it yet.
So yes this is the way I am now going to be swatching my nail polishes. If you are like me and don't like to clean dishes after a party or get together, then I am sure you have plenty of left-over plastic utensils.

Bundle Monster Image Plate-Nail Polish that works

Here is my quick manicure. The Paris Nail Lacquers, that I purchased from Marshalls, work with nail art image plates. I have been wanting to test all of them, but I have only tried the darker pink. I used the lighter pink from one set and the darker pink from another set to stamp. I did not have to use a lot of polish on the stamp. I covered half of the image then scraped. Once you scrape the polish gets distributed to the entire image. If you cover the whole image with the nail polish before scraping it might be too runny and smear your image on your nail. Here are a few pictures that I took.xoxo-Christina

Review-Almay Intense i-color Liquid Eyeliner

I was looking through the CVS ad and saw that the Almay i-color cosmetics were on sale for $5.99 and with that purchase you receive $3.00 in register rewards.Last week when I went to CVS I received a $3.00 off coupon in the kiosk. I also had a $2.00 off coupon in my binder. So my total OOP purchase was $1.07!!!!
There was not much to choose from because I am pretty sure plenty of people could not pass up this deal.I decided to get this eyeliner because I have never used a liquid eyeliner. The only thing that had me second guessing my purchase was the color of the eyeliner. The only color available in pencil and liquid form were Black Pearl and a purple shade. I decided on the Black Pearl. I wasn't sure what the color would look black or gray. The pearl through me off. I hoped for the best and bought it anyways. Besides where can you get a liquid eyeliner for $1.99.
I really like this eyeliner. It was easy to apply. It is now about 10:00pm and the eyeliner has not smeared or smudged at all. I applied it about 11:00am. Now on to the color. It is black but its also has super tiny fine silvery flakes in it. It almost makes the eyeliner still look wet. Here are the pictures. Would I buy this liquid eyeliner again? Only if there is another sale and coupons:) Check out my YouTube video: http://youtu.be/eoudyl8TVUQ

Eyeliner did not smear or smudge even after almost 10 hours of wear. I used a different eyeliner on the bottom lid that does look a little smudged:(

Paris Nail Polish Swatches set 2

the blue polish on my thumb is from the first set I bought.

Last week on the way to taking my son to practice, we had a few minutes to spare, so we headed to Marshalls. I haven't bought new nail polish in a long time! I was in desperate need of new polishes. I saw that they had a collection called Paris Nail Lacquers. They came in a package of 4 and the bottles were so cute. The colors were so pretty. One caught my eye because it was a really nice lilac color. It reminded me of my wedding dress. I just loved it and had to buy it. I will show you that set tomorrow.
I went back to Marshalls today and picked up another set. This set had a pretty baby blue, light pink, red and a dark burgundy. I would not have bought it if the first set was not worth getting. I must have worn the nail polish for a whole week without a top coat and the polish did not chip at all. Each set came in four and the price was $5.99.So pretty much $1.50 each. One coat of this polish will get the job done but two coats will make it look a lot better. The nail polish is Formaldehyde,Toluene and DBP Free. There were 2 more different set that I might pick up later this week if its still there. Let me know if you have used this polish and your thoughts!
