My Two Favorite Things Pizza and Purple Polish

Well, I was suppose to publish this last night, but my net book started acting wacky. Tuesday I let Frank and Alex choose between me making Taco Pizza or Taco Biscuits. Taco Pizza won. I have never made this before. I have seen it at CiCi Pizza but never really tried it. This was so fun and easy to make. I used Pillsbury pizza crust, taco sauce, refried beans, ground beef, cheese, Mexican corn, lettuce and tomatoes. The only regret I have was adding the lettuce and tomatoes to the entire pizza. I tried eating it the day after but it did not taste as good. Next time, I will use the lettuce and tomato as needed.
Later that night we went to the cinema (Transformers 3-best movie yet!!) and a girl complemented me on my nail polish. I had on Color Craze nail polish in Nuclear Energy with Glistening Purple over it. She could not believe that the polish was from the Family Dollar and only cost $1.00. I really loved the way it looked. If you get a chance to visit your local Family Dollar, I really recommend picking up some of these polishes.
As always, thank you for stopping by.

Sea Siren

Nuclear Energy

Lightning

Sparkling Diamonds

Sassy Sparkle

Glistening Purple

This actually looks better in person

Midway in cleaning my house today, I had to make up a little excuse to stop and get out of the house for a while. I have been having nail polish withdrawals. I went to Sally's Beauty Supply earlier this week but nothing caught my eye. I left the house work behind and took a little trip to the Family Dollar to see if I could find anything special. I also needed some bleach to finish my laundry. That is where I discovered these awesome nail polishes. They are by L.A.Colors Color Craze Nail Polish. They were only $1.00. Right now I am wearing the bright pink one which is Lightning. To make it brighter, I applied a coat of white nail polish before painting them. I was going to change it and try out the purple one, but when my husband saw it on me when he told me it looked "sexy". So this color might just stay on for a few more days. We'll see. I am no longer withdrawing as my fix has been fulfilled. Thanks for visiting me,
xoxoxo

Summer Fun with the Kids

Summer is here. The kids are home all day and what do we do??? That's a good question. Here are a few things that you can do with the kids. Most are free or require little money.
Visit your local library. They usually host special performances during the summer month.  Every Wednesday until the end of July we have our schedule filled with a different performance. I like these because they allow the children to participate and gets there minds working. They also have a summer reading program that lets your little ones earn prizes after reading (or you reading to them) a certain amount of book.
Michael's craft store also host free project nights that lets your child make a project. Most of the time you just have to buy a small product that they are going to use such as a tie, shirt or mug. All this month they will be hosting Father's Day Projects. These look like alot of fun. Check out there website and click on the events tab. http://www.michaels.com/
My most favorite free activities is the Lowe's Build and Grow projects.  This is usually hosted every other Saturday morning between 10-11am. My husband has been taking my son since he was 3 years old. They leave early to eat breakfast them head on out to Lowe's. It give me, Mommy, a little break to sleep in a while or just have time to get my self together. Once you get to Lowe's and sign in your child, your child receives a pair of goggle, a red smock, hammer, and their project to build with instructions. It teaches them to follow direction, safety, and patience. Its awesome to see their face once they have completed the project. The projects are all free. Once the project is complete, they receive a badge. I usually take some material glue and glue the patch to his smock. http://lowesbuildandgrow.com/

My last free summer thing to do is Vacation Bible School or VBS. This is also free and fun. It teaches kids about Jesus and the love He has for every single thing and everyone around us.  I love it. Last night he came home with a bag of snack that he requested I make for him today. So we took off this morning Wal-Mart and bought the ingredients. I bought a box of Chex cereal, Lucky Charm cereal, a bag of Gold Fish, and M&M's. I wanted to put raisens in it but he wasn't having it. I put 4 cups of each cereal and the whole bags of candy and gold fish. This made about 12 cups. I know its not very healthy buts its a fun treat

bought at ULTA

.25 fl oz. One 'n Only Argan Oil Treatment

free gift when purchased the straightener
12 fl oz Moisture Repair Shampoo

I have had my Chi hair straightener for about 6 years. My husband bought it from EBay for $60.00. I was totally shocked with the price so we jumped on it. Sadly, it finally gave out. When I would plug it in, the light would not turn on even after pushing the restart buttons. I unplugged it and shook the plugger and something was loose in there. I didn't want to take any chances so I put it away for good.
About a month ago, I got a haircut. The girl who usually cuts my hair did not show up so I went with another stylist. When she finished, the haircut looked good. The next day I realized she cut some parts super short in the crown area and they now stick up, so I really needed a straightener. In part it was my fault also because I totally ruined my bangs. I cut them myself.
I didn't want to spend a lot of money on another Chi. I liked my Chi but I always liked the way some girls hair got super straight when they ironed it. I wondered what straightener they used. I had a coupon for 20% of at ULTA and found this One 'n Only Argan Straightener on sale for $49.00. With the coupon, the price was $39.00 from $59.00. I had to order it. Almost all of the reviews where positive. I also received a free 12oz bottle of One 'n Only Argan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo.
I received the package yesterday. It took exactly one week to get here and I was super excited. The straightener has 30 heat settings and goes up to 450 degrees F. The box shows you the recommended setting for different hair types such as fragile, thin, normal, wavy, or coarse. I put mine at a 19 yesterday when I tried it. My hair was super straight. I loved it.
Last night, I tried out the shampoo. I love it. The smell is so soft. It reminded me of Calgon body spray. My sister used to use that along time ago when we were younger.  It is sulfate, phosphate, paraben free, repairs damaged hair, adds volume, hydrates and restores moisture and color protection. I loved it. After one use, my hair even looked straighter without doing anything to it. The straightener also came with a small sample of Argan Oil. I put a few drops on my hair. My hair seemed to dry faster with it also.
Usually if I don't blow dry my hair after I shower, my hair from my bangs to the crown of my hair is usually sticking straight up in the morning. This morning it didn't look as bad or funky as it usually does. I set the straightener at 15 this morning and I still love the way my hair turned out. My hair hasn't looked this nice in a long time. I am so glad I bought the straightener. I will continue to use my Tresemme shampoo until the 40 washes are complete. Although I may go to Sally's Beauty Supply to get more oil.
Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by.
