These were a few little projects I did this weekend. I made them as Valentines gifts for my family. I hope they enjoy them. I love making this projects because it relaxes me, especially if I am home alone. 

Sinful Lizards-Yikes!!!

Unicorn



Innocent



I was finally able to paint my nails and add a little design, but first let me write about these two colors. During my quick run to Walgreens, I was able to pick up these 2 colors by Sinful Colors. The first one is called Unicorn. I first applied a coat of white nail polish; then 2 coats of Unicorn. The color on the bottle is so pretty. The application was very streaky. I did not like it at all. It also took a long time to dry. I couldn't stand it so I took it off. I'll try it again but without the white base coat.
The second color I bought was Innocent, also by Sinful Colors. With this one, I applied a sheer nude color as a base coat then 3 coats of Innocent. I loved this color. It so pretty.. It's a really refreshing color. The color applied smoothly. No problems at all.
For the design on my nails, I used Bundle Monster Plate 15 and Konad special color in black. My nails are too short to use the other designs, so I stamped on the lizard. I can't stand lizards. I am so scared of them. They totally freak me out. I have to admit though, that I like the way they look on my nails. The lizards really stand out with the green nail color. Even though I like this design, I'm pretty sure they will be off my nails soon.

A Lil Bit of This and That

 I think I need more Crochet classes

 Today was one of the best days I have had this year.  It was a "Girls Day Out" for my sisters birthday. We started the day by eating at La Madeline for brunch. It was so good. I had a Chicken Perisian sandwich.YUMMY. Then we went to Hobby Lobby for a class to learn how to crochet. It was so fun and my aunt (here pictured with me) had us all laughing. After 2 hours of the instructor teaching us how to crochet, I was only able to complete 2 rows,but it was so  much fun. Spending time with my sister, mom, aunt and my two beautiful nieces was such a blessing. I thank God for allowing us to be together to celebrate with my sister.

 This is one of the gifts I made for my sister. It is a rose hair pin. I bought a long stem rose, pulled it apart and glued it to a hair pin. To give it a little bit more shine, I glued a rhinestone to the center.

 

 This is another gift I made. I pulled the flower apart and put a button in the center of the flower. I glued it to a pony tail holder. I was so glad she liked her gifts. I also made her a ring but forgot to take a picture of it. Her last gift was a China Glaze nail polish in a pink shade and a base and top coat from Seche Vette.

Chains of Love and Wet n Wild Haul

 So this is my first design for the month of Febuary 2011. The base color I used was Purple Crush by Orly. I love this color. It dries super fast and the bottle is true to its color. Love It. The Bundle Monster plates I used were plates BM09 for the heart and BM12 for the chain link.  I only wish my nails were longer so I could have added more chain links to the nail. I still like this design though.

Wet N Wild -Teal of Fortune (4 coats)

 This is a super pretty blue with sparkle. Its from the Wet n Wild FastDry line. I'm not really sure how fast it dried since I used an artificial nail. I purchased this at Walgreens for $1.99.

Sinful Colors-Why Not (3 coats)
This is from Sinful Colors. I almost walked right passed it. I'm thinking this is a newer one from their collection, because this is the first time I have seen this. Its such a beautiful creamy ocean blue. It reminds me of one the Sally Hansen polish I used earlier. This was $1.99 at Walgreens



Wet n Wild-Hanna Pinktana (4-coats)
I also bought this at Walgreens for $1.99.Its from the FastDry Collection as well. The only thing that I dont like from this brand is the stiff brush. Other than that, this is a beautiful pinkish/purplish sparkly color.




The last nail is Wet N Wild-Sparked (4 coats)
I wasn't able to get the bottle of nail polish for the last nail. It's also from Wet N Wild-WildShine Collection. This one was only $.99 cents. I went to Sally's Beauty Supply today. While there this beautiful China Glaze polish practicle knocked me off my feet. I dont remember the name of it but it was on the feature display of China Glaze. Ohhh how I wanted it so badly. I wasn't shopping for myself,but for my sister. I had to walk away from that beautiful color. I wish I could remember the name. So when I went to Walgeens Wet n Wild Sparked also caught my eye. I had to get it. There was only one left and I bought it.  Maybe before the month is over I will head back to Sally's for that special nail polish.

The pictures for these pallets do no justice. The pigments are so rich and almost velvety. My husband must think I am crazy, cause I am ooohhhhing and aaaahhhhing by just touching the colors. As you can see, the pallet comes with 8 highly pigmented brown tone shades. Priced at $4.99.

These are priced the same $4.99. This pallet is also highly pigmented. I like the feel of the Comfort Zone pallet better. Not so much oohs and ahhs with this one. The pallet comes with shades of purples and soft pinks.  What's great about these pallets is that it give you diffent color combinations that you can use. The samples are on the back of the pallet. It show you what colors to use for a Sweet Look, Flirty Look, Dramitic Look and Wild Look. Hmmmm, this is very interesting. I cant wait to use these. I'll post pictures up when ever I try them out. True Blue

So these are the last designs for this month. I like the images but not the colors I choose. I should have used a different color to stamp the images. On with the colors I used, as my base I used Aquamarine by NK Nail Enamel and special Konad polish in blue. The image plate is by Bundle Monster 11. I applied rhinestomes on the flowers that are hardly visible. I might try it again tomorrow.....not sure though.

 I have been using the ELF makeup brushes for a while now. I've been buying them from my local Food Town grocery store. They are only $1.00. Per the videos I have seen, not to many people like them, but I love them. I have never had any problems with the smell after I've washed them or hair fall out. Those brushes work for my face and especially my budget. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to buy some new make up. I placed my order and after a long 7 days of waiting, they finally arrived. It came in a grey plastic package and bubble wrapped. I am very pleased with my purchase. I am totally going to continue to buy from ELF. I posted a review on my YouTube channel, I hope you check it out!!

Bundle Monster 10 & China Glaze

I just love this pattern here. It's from Bundle Monster plate 10. It looks like a giraffe pattern. I'm sure it would look really good with black and white nail polish too. Just in time for the Houston Rodeo.  Maybe if we go, I'll try those colors instead.  The colors here are from China Glaze, Re-Fresh Mint and Metallic Muse. I love these two colors with or without a image on them. I'm finally getting to the image plates that are full nail designs. This plate really has some really pretty patterns on it. This particular pattern transferred really well with the Metallic Muse. Thanks for stopping by.

Pure Ice Love

The weekend came and went so fast. Saturday we spent it with friends that feel like our brother and sister. We just love them so much. Sunday we spent it with my parents. When we got home our friend had dinner already cooking for us. It was the best food I have had in a while. It was great. Now on with my weekend manicure. The blue color I used was from Color Club. I didn't like the results. This is actually four coats. I guess I should have used a white base coat before I appied the color. It did not apply evenly at all. To change up the look, I used Pure Ice nail polish in China Girl to apply the "love" image. The image comes from Bundle Monster plate09. I really like the Pure Ice brand for 2 reasons. First reason is the price. They cost 1.99 at your local walmart. The second reason is because they seem to work really good with Konad and Bundle Monster Image Plates. I am hoping to increase my YouTube viewers and blog followers with a contest. I just purchased a few items and hopefully they arrive soon.  Well thanks for visiting me, come back and visit me.

Nail Polish Collection

Here is a picture of my nail polish collection. Since we have a friend staying with us for a while, I had to move my polishes and other nail stuff from my Nail Polish/Craft Room into a small section of my bedroom closet. Its gonna take a while to get used to but a friend of my husband is a friend of mind and he is more than welcomed to stay as long as he wants.  Fortunately, I was able to squeeze all my polishes into this rack. i believe I bought this at the Family Dollar for less than $20.00. I store my nail art supplies such as fimo,image plates, rhinestones, and fake nails in the top container. The second holds my manicure supplies and the last container holds extra random stuff. Angels Wings, Kings and Queens???

 I don't know why,but this plate BM07, was very hard for me to transfer the image to the stamper. The only one I was able to get was the angel wings. The base color I used was by Finger Paints in Silver Sculpture. I then used a glittery nail polish by Sinful Colors. Again, not one of my favorites.

This image of the king and queen crown come from Bundle Monster image plate 08. I really like the images. They are really pretty. I used Pure Ice nail polish in Jaguar and Wet n Wild in Disturbia and swirled the two colors together. On the middle and thumb finger I used Jaguar and special Konad polish in purple to transfer the image. I should have added rhinestones to give it more a royalty look. Maybe next time.
