Birchbox November 2012

Birchbox
Give
November 2012

What a surprise!! Earlier yesterday morning I decided to cancel my Birchbox subscription. This past weekend I finally went through all the boxes I have and organized them. I have not used any sample that I have received from them except for maybe the perfumes. I end up losing those when I do use them. I was tired of having little boxes all over my side table.
Yesterday afternoon the mail man delivered my last Birchbox. I was in shock when I opened it!
There was actually 2 full size items in there. Were you shocked too?? Here are the pictures of the items that where in my box♥

This months box was the "Give" box. Giving thanks, giving back and giving treats

$15.00 off from Chromaticgallerie

SoyJoy bar-$1.19 a bar
These bars are actually quite good. I am going to put this in my purse.

Jouer| Fragrance Cornucopia
features gardenia, Jasmine and honeysuckle
Lulu Organics| Lavender & Clary Sage Hair Powder
sorry for half missing picture

Sumita | Contrast Eye Pencil $11.00
extra-bold liner combines rich pigment with long lasting wear-no smudges or smears
I am actually wearing this right now and it applied so smoothly and evenly. I really like how it went on.
I was glad that it was a color that I actually wear everyday (black) and not something too shimmery or barely visible!

ModelCo | Shine Ultra Lip Gloss $16.00
Australian brand winning lip gloss coats lips with subtle color. Plus the built in mirror allows for easy application. I am wearing this as well. It give my lips a nice shine without the stickiness. I even used quite a bit of coats. Very nice!

As you can see the samples contained in this box was actually a higher value the  monthly price of the box.
I am still going to keep my subscription as cancelled.  I really enjoy getting my Cravebox and the prices on that seems to be going up every time they give out a new box. I would rather use my money on them instead.
Thanks for stopping by.
xoxo

Recycled Birchbox

Every Birchbox comes with a sheet of tissue paper.

ModPodged tissue paper

Finished box to put birthday gift

Cost=nothing
Last month was Green Month. BirchBox was asking to post photos of upcycled Birchboxes. I am a little to late but thought I would post this anyway. My moms birthday is right around the corner. Sometimes finding just the right bag and tissue paper can be a little expensive. There's usually never any coupons for that kind of stuff. I knew I had some zebra print duct tape somewhere hidden in my car. I think it was left over from Vacation Bible School projects. I opened up the trunk and found it under a blanket. I grabbed my empty Birchbox and began to cover the sides and top with the tape. I did not like the way the inside looked, so I decided to modpodge the insides with the tissue paper that every Birchbox comes with. I also modpodged the outsides of the box to give the box a gloss finish and to prevent the tape from coming undone. After letting the mod podge dry all night, I filled the box with my moms gifts and used a sheer purple ribbon to finish off the look.
I really like this because she can reuse this box to put whatever she wants in it. This duct tape can be found at Hobby Lobby, Michael's or Walmart. I hope you enjoy and recycle your box too.
